Find a lone nut to follow...?

Probably should balance finding a lone nut to follow (Prov 3:5-6 (NIV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight) with testing everything you see and are told for yourself rather than just giving in to following because everyone else is and it looks like fun (1 Thes 5:20-21 (NIV) Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all).

Perhaps sadly, I'd be one of the people sitting and watching. Especially if someone told me I'd better get on board with the dance because there is definitely a test before the end of the day (Matt 24:34 / Mark 13:30 / Luke 21:32 “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."), and if you fail the test the consequences are pretty uncomfortable and rather long lasting. Wonder if the dancers thought about the test being before the end of the concert, or was it when they individually left the ground, or when the bands stopped, or when everyone when home, or at the stroke of midnight - at the end of the day (this generation) seems clear enough to fit any of the above, but if it hasn't happened by midnight then it obviously can't happen that day.

Certainly the first couple of followers of the lone nut thought there would be a test that very day (generation) and the people who knew of the lone nut's dancing and chose not to dance would be judged. I bet they are all still waiting. Though, if you had got up to dance against your better judgement / understanding because of the chance of a test, I'd bet you tell people that the test is still coming and people can still learn the dance, otherwise you'd probably feel a bit silly. You might after a time say that the end of the day (generation) meant something else and that no one but the judge knew when the test would be. Or you might even say, that you don't believe in the test, there is no test, we've all already passed no matter if you danced or not, its just something the lone nut and his followers started to get more people to join in and have fun. I'm sure some guy named Pascal had some sort of wager about it being worth dancing, what have you got to loose?

At the moment I'm watching on as people follow the lone nut, still testing everything and searching for answers.
